Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers well-decorated rooms in the best location with a beautiful sea view. However, some rooms seem to lack windows, and the furnishing is a bit dated. The service, while trying to be casual, falls short of delivering excellence. The location is excellent for exploring the old walled town, but some aspects need improvement. The dining experience offers a great variety of delicious items. The facilities could be better maintained to enhance the overall stay.
This hotel is a hidden gem inside the historic Hôtel de Ville building at a lovely square, offering clean and comfortable rooms with tiny but cozy spaces marked by ancient charm. The friendly and knowledgeable staff provide pleasant service, making the stay enjoyable despite some minor hiccups. The location is unbeatable within the old town of St Malo, providing a mesmerizing view of the city wall and the sea. Dining is a mixed bag with a beautiful ambiance but limited options. Overall, a great value for a unique stay in a historic setting.
I stayed at this hotel on the 2nd floor, not directly facing the sea. The room was very nice, and I enjoyed the lively ground floor brasserie. However, considering the price paid for a superior room plus upgrade, it wasn't quite what I was expecting, but still a satisfactory stay despite the lack of a view due to my booking.
The hotel was a bit disappointing overall. The room, although cozy with a view of the town walls and the sea, was much smaller than expected and lacked air conditioning. The service was slow and unhelpful, making us feel unwelcome. However, the location was lively and convenient, right at the entrance to the Intramuros, but unfortunately, we faced difficulties during a local event. The dining options were limited and not up to our expectations, with early closing times. The facilities were basic with only a few amenities available.
The hotel is nestled in a historic building, offering breathtaking views of the sea beyond the walls. The rooms are beautifully designed, with comfortable beds, but they might need some extra care soon. The breakfast is okay, albeit typical continental fare, with cold scrambled eggs and stewed coffee.
My stay at the hotel was wonderful. The room had a lovely sea view, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a baby. The shower was great too, just what I needed after a long day exploring. The only downside was that my room wasn't ready when I arrived in the morning, and there was no secure space to leave my luggage, which made me a bit uneasy.
